Originally taught to knit by her grandmother, Nicky has become a beloved knitting designer and author of numerous books. She is known for her creative combinations of stitches, and for the colorful patterns often found in her sweaters. She has received a prestigious award by the National NeedleArts Association and her work was featured in a fashion show at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. Epstein has written a regular column in Vogue Knitting called "Nicky Epstein".

Nicky studied fashion design, retail sales and fine art at the Columbus College of Art and Design and was an art director at a design firm when she entered a design contest with a sweater creation and won first prize! She is married and lives in New York City.more...
